What to Expect When Fitted at Victoria's Secret & PINK Mall of San Juan
When you arrive at Victoria's Secret & PINK Mall of San Juan, approach an associate and request a free bra fitting. It's as simple as two quick measurements. Here's what you can expect:
- Know Before You Go: Our bra fittings are taken with your shirt on and we recommend wearing a lightly lined or unlined bra, if possible. This is because certain bra styles can affect measuring like sports bras and thick, padded bras. But don't worry—we can help fit you regardless of what type of bra you are wearing. Additionally, our associates measure your bust size on the sales floor, but you may request a fitting room for more privacy.
- Get to Know You: The associate will ask your name and introduce themselves. They'll also ask some general questions to get a better understanding of your needs, like what you're looking for in a bra and any fit concerns.
- Two Quick Measurements: From there, our associates use a soft measuring tape around the chest to quickly calculate your cup and band size. This measurement includes (1) right above the bust and (2) the fullest part of the bust.
- Optional Try On: If your measurement indicates you're in a new size, we encourage you to try on a bra in that size. We recommend this step so you can get a feel for the new size and its comfort level in real-time. The associate can also assess the fit for you, give pointers on other fit issues, and make bra recommendations that meet your specific needs.
- All Set: There you have it! Leave Victoria's Secret & PINK Mall of San Juan with a new size, newfound confidence and maybe a new bra or two!
How to Measure Your Bra Size
Can't visit us at Mall of San Juan? No problem! We have tips, tricks, and tools to help you measure your bra size at home. Here's how to get started:
- Measure Your Band Size: 80% of bra support comes from the band. This makes having an accurate measurement super important. Start by standing in front a large mirror wearing a non-padded bra. Wrap a soft measuring tape around your back at band level, under each arm and around the front. Make sure the tape is comfortably snug. Measure just above your bust which is right about where the straps meet the top of the cup.
- Measure Your Bust: Keeping the tape around your back at band level, measure at the fullest part of your bust. Make sure the tape isn't too tight by taking a full breath in and out, allowing the tape to slide to its most comfortable position.
- Use Our Bra Size Calculator: Once you have your band and bust size, go to our Bra Size Calculator below and enter those measurements to get your size.
Band Size vs. Cup Size
At Victoria's Secret, we keep it simple by remembering two basic rules about band size vs. cup size:
- A band is a band...is a band: In other words, all band sizes are equal. This means all 34s are the same length, all 36s, and so on.
- A cup is not a cup...is not a cup: The cup's size, however, is relative to the proportion of the band; the larger the band, the larger the cup capacity. In other words, the B Cup of a 32 Band size holds less volume than the B Cup of a 34 Band size.
